Privacy Policy

1. Collection of Data

CoreRank ASO is designed so that your competitive research stays under your control on your Mac. We do not sell your keyword lists, Studio apps, Watchlist competitors, or dossiers.

We do not require an account to use the Free Core Tracker. Pro licensing is handled via a license key (see Payments).

The App may process or generate:

• Local research data — keywords you track, Studio and Watchlist membership, cached App Store results, and related notes. Stored on your Mac (e.g. with SwiftData) and not hosted as a public database of your research.
• Technical and product telemetry — limited, high-level events such as that a search ran or a license was activated, plus crash/stability signals when enabled. This is not the content of your keyword lists or competitor dossiers.
• Anonymous session tokens — the App may use anonymous authentication with our backend so Pro and live App Store intelligence requests can be authorized and rate-limited.

2. App Store Intelligence Requests

When you search keywords or open competitor intelligence features, the App may call our cloud services to retrieve App Store–related data needed to answer your request. We use that processing to return results to you and may briefly cache anonymous or aggregated results so the product stays fast and reliable.

We do not use your private research workspace as a marketplace dataset. Do not upload content you are not allowed to process under applicable App Store and third-party terms.

3. Local Storage

Tracked keywords, Studio/Watchlist state, and related caches live primarily on your device. If you enable FileVault or other macOS disk encryption, that data benefits from your system security settings. Clearing app data or uninstalling the App removes local stores according to macOS behavior.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We work with trusted providers that only receive what is needed to perform their role:

• Lemon Squeezy — Merchant of Record for Pro checkout, invoices, taxes, and license delivery. Review their privacy policy for payment processing.
• Firebase / Google Cloud — backend functions, optional analytics, and hosting for this website and update distribution when used.
• AI providers (e.g. Gemini via Firebase AI) — when you use Pro AI features, relevant prompts derived from your request may be sent to generate insights. Avoid pasting secrets or personal data into prompts.

5. Payments

We do not store your full credit card number. Pro purchases and billing portals are handled by Lemon Squeezy. Free never requires a license key; only Pro activation does. License validation confirms entitlement (including device limits such as activation on up to two Macs).

6. Website & Updates

This marketing site may use lightweight analytics after launch. Automatic app updates may download notarized builds from our hosting/storage when a new version is published. The Admin area on the site is only for authorized publishers.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is directed at developers and professionals. It is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new policy on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
